Display not working At work today I was trying to show my colleagues the awesomeness of the G53SX laptop and the screen would not come on.
I tried connecting it to my desktop LCD but nothing. I think the video card came loose because I travel with a rolling briefcase and I don't think the laptop likes that extra vibration.
Anyone have any suggestions about how to reseat a loose video card on this model? Clear instructions. Easy to follow. No jargon. Pictures helped. Didn't match my screen. Incorrect instructions. Too technical.
Not enough information. Not enough pictures. Any additional feedback? Submit feedback. Can do this under standard resolution settings in windows. Apply and close. Hope that helps and gets some of you off the damn forums and back to games where we belong. Oh yes, this last one helped me too : even though, for the life of me, i have no idea how decreasing the performance of the card can fix a driver crash issue Hi all, don't know if this is a surefire fix but it worked for me.
I was having the same issues black screen flicker, hard restart out of nowhere and finally solved it. I swapped my GPU out to the other PCIe slot on my board was in the slot furthest from CPU, moved to the slot closer and did a clean install settings reset when i reinstalled the latest driver. I've had lower temps and no flickering or crashing. Hope this helps somebody because I never found an answer to this, I had to find it.
GTX 2GB from an alienware x For me it was my graphics card on the way out. Overheating like crazy; had to replace it. Getting a new GPU fixed it. I know I'm a little late to the party here, but I'm still having the same issues. I've uninstalled drivers and rolled back manually, I've used DDU, I've reduced my refresh rate to 50hz, reduced core and memory clock speeds by MHz Which caused a significant reduction in performance to the tune of fps and disabled GPU rendering in Internet Options.
In short, I've tried all of the fixes above and none of them worked. System specs: Intel Core i 3. I'm getting the same as Pada1ty above. Funny thing is, the only thing that causes this issue is when I play zoo tycoon!
I still am having this problem, it started on the 22nd, and after the last driver update is still happening. Any possible solution? Suddenly Overwatch started crashing weeks ago with error "connection to rendering device lost". Only Overwatch does this, nothing else played. Memory is tested and OK. Same problem. When problem first happened, the drivers was not updated since last year.
First thing I did was uninstall drivers and install latets. Same thing happening. Same error. Noticed there are lots of people on Battlenet forums having same problem suddenly. With old cards like this one, and new RTX I rather not go buy a new video card.. And it is Overwatch that happen to be the most important thing for my kid playing on this computer :. I started getting to "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered. I havn't had the issue in 3 weeks after unplugging 1 of 3 of my monitors.
Nothing else seemed to work and since I bought the monitor and gpu at the same time it could have been either. Maybe some of your setups are similar to where you may try unplugging one of the monitors or switching to a different display cable. I have this issue. But when i open for instance Mozilla Firefox. My LCD starts flashing randomly and i get the message 'Display driver stopped working' I also tried to update my Adobe Flash, did not solve anything. The flickering stops after about 10 seconds.
Then i have to force reboot it, to get it working again. After the force reboot. My system freezes at the post screen. Then i have to force reboot it about 2 to 3 times to make windows start. I also took a look in the BIOS.
Everything looked normally. Does anybody have the same problem? Because my notebook is brand new and i think it is a problem with the GPU.
