Just a recap of the issue: The problem occurs when using multiple content types in combination with Office and it basically makes the multiple content types feature in combination with Office unusable: When using multiple content types on a Library in SharePoint and when using Office , a Javascript error pops up when trying to save a document from Office back into the library.
The error prevents saving the document back to a specified content type when creating a new document and will thus prevent the correct metadata to be saved with the document , regardless of whether the document is created from within Office and saved into the library directly, or wether it is started by click the "New…" button in the library. When opening an existing document from a library with multiple content types and saving it, the same error window pops up 4 times before the document is saved.
The same error pops up when modifying the document properties from within an Office document. Tuesday, December 11, PM. Wednesday, December 12, AM. Wednesday, December 12, PM.
